It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Georgina (Witherall) Pickles, on Thursday, September 08, 2016 at the Northside General Hospital. Georgina was born April 17, 1942, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (MacNeil) Witherall. Georgina is survived by her sons, Benjamin (Leslie) Pickles, Sydney and Blair (Bernadette) Pickles, Orillia, Ontario; grandchildren, Brittany, Michael, Jason, Kathryn , Andrew and special grandson, Jordan; great grandson, Owen; her sisters, Marg, Helen, Carrie, Ann and Veronica; her brothers, Henry, Kevin, Leo, Paul and Earl, also by special niece Judy O’Handley and Michelle Chew. Georgina was predeceased by her husband, Eldon Pickles; her son, George; brothers, Benjamin, Brian and James; her brother-in-law, Winston Aubrecht. Visitation for Georgina will be held 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nick Philips officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
