Lawrence Walter Berrigan
The death occurred at the Park West Lodge on Thursday, September 8, 2016, of Lawrence Berrigan of Charlottetown, aged 89. Lawrence was the husband of the late Isabella (Matheson) Berrigan; father of Glenda MacLeod, Barb Rogers and Larry Berrigan; grandfather of Jason MacKay (Shannon) and Jeff MacKay (Nicole); and Payton, Paige and Paris Berrigan; and great-grandfather of Cody, Brittany, Tate, Quinn and Brooke. He is also survived by his sister, Winnie Stewart; daughter-in-law, Krista MacGuigan; sisters-in-law, Blanche Matheson, Mary Matheson, Gladys Walsh, Agnes Matheson and Irene Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Isabella, and his parents, Walter and Adelaide (Morrison) Berrigan, he was predeceased by his sisters, Frances Davies (Jack) and Margaret Stewart (Ivan); brothers, Freddie Berrigan and Wally Berrigan (Eleanor); brothers-in-law, George Stewart, and Elmer, Jack (Alice), Homer, Benjamin (Kathy and Claire), Major, Millar and Roddie Matheson, and Herbie Stanley (Eleanor). Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 1 to 2:45 p.m. The funeral will be held following the visitation in the Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
