New Glasgow - Margaret Rose Wong, of Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, formerly of New Glasgow, NS, passed away at the Aberdeen Hospital on Saturday, September 10, 2016.
Born in Lucknow, Ont., on Aug. 1, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Lee) Chin.
She graduated as a registered nurse from Victoria School of Nursing, London, Ontario. Margaret enjoyed her life whether at work, home and in the community. She was loved by all.
She is survived by sons: Douglas (Amy), Pitt Meadows, BC; Les (Vickie), Charlottetown, PEI; Bob (Cathy), New Glasgow, NS; grandchildren, Charlotte and Andrew, PEI; brothers: Harry, Sam, Chuck (Rose), Jack (Jessie), all of Toronto; George (Coral), Calgary; Morley (Gladys), Ottawa; Alan (Anne), Maple Ridge, BC; sister, Mary, Fort Myers, Fla; sisters-in-law: Sandy of Toronto.
She was predeceased by her husband, Doug, brothers: Bill, Albert, Jim (Nancy) and Frank; sister, Gladys; brother-in-law, George.
The family would like to thank the entire staff and volunteers of Shiretown Nursing Home-Pictou as well as the Doctors and Nursing staff of the Aberdeen Hospital. Your caring and intervention for our mother was greatly appreciated.
Cremation has taken place. Margaret's request for no funeral and viewing will be honoured. A private memorial service for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. Arrangements for burial are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home.
