Lloyd Bruce Hickman

Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care unit of the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre, surrounded by his loving family, Lloyd Bruce Hickman in his 81st year. Predeceased by his parents: Brigadier Charles and Ellen (Mosher) Hickman. Lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his devoted wife of 61 years: Pearl (Matthews); children: Dale (Leslie), Dean (Jacki); grandson: Dean (Sharon) and his cherished great-grandson: Blake. Also left to mourn his brother: Clyde (Cynthia); special nieces: Lynn Wiseman (Philip) and Deanne Hickman, great-nephew: Adam Wiseman (Alison); sister-in-law: Myra Oldford; extended Matthews family and a large circle of relatives and friends especially Jeanette and Stuart Vokey, Lily Marshall and family, the Chretien family and Eliza Scott. Our deepest gratitude to Kathy Hickman and Dr. Anne Williams for their support, Major's Brian and Valerie Wheeler, Judy Mayo, Melva Elliott and Fran Duffett of the Salvation Army for their many visits, Dr. Manning of Intensive Care and the wonderful staff of 7th Floor East at St Clare's Mercy Hospital, and Drs Hurley, Eaton, Fardy and Alysha, the nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre, who were truly our angels of mercy for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 12-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Thursday. September 15, 2016 from the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Avenue at 2 pm. Interment will be held at a later date.
