BENSON, Auldon Scott – It is with sadness that we, the family of Auldon Scott Benson, formerly of Braeshore, Pictou County, announce his death on September 11, 2016, at the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, after a long battle with cancer.
Born January 29, 1933, he was the son of the late Richard and Janet Benson.
Auldon is survived by his daughters, Shelley (Jerry) Fraser and Susan (Ernie) Kublek, both of Cambridge, Ontario; Nina Chapdelaine, of London, Ontario; brother, Grant (Susan) Benson and sister, Paula Benson, both of Braeshore; grandchildren, Justin and Grant Fraser, Erin Lockman, Josh Kublek, Owen and Kaitlyn Chapdelaine; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Lillian; brother-in-law, Clarke Aitken and granddaughter, Mercedes Fraser.
Our family wants to give a Special Thank You to the staff of both Glen Haven Manor and Shiretown Nursing Home for their wonderful care and attention given to Auldon.
There will be no visitation or funeral at Auldon’s request.
Donations in Auldon’s memory may be made to the Recreation Department of the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou.
