HARRY GORDON DANIELS
Harry, beloved husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11th, 2016 at the age of 91 years. He was the youngest of 6 children and was predeceased by his parents, Martha and Costea Daniels; sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers and brothers-in-law: Annie and Andrew Lukashenko, Christina and Mike Ambrose, Wesley and Nellie Daniel, Mike Daniels, and Gino Della Bianca. Harry is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Doris Daniels; sister, Dorothy Della Bianca; sister-in-law, Vera Daniels; son, Ken (Rae) Daniels of Moose Jaw, SK; daughters, Donna (Dave) Rennie of Weyburn, SK and Cindy (Paul) Navin of Moose Jaw; grandchildren: Kale (Molly) Daniels, Kory (Vicky) Daniels, Sarah (Brad) Wilcox and Larry Silzer; great-grandchildren: Marley, Kingston, Oliver and Henry; as well as many nieces and nephews. Harry was born on June 22nd, 1925 in Wheatstone, SK. He was a very social, fun-loving man who loved his family and friends dearly. He started out his career working with the CPR and soon after moved to Moose Jaw and started working at Swifts Meat Packing Plant. In 1947, he met his beautiful wife Doris and they were married in 1948. They shared their love of horticulture together and had one of the most beautiful gardens and yards in the city. They were also avid Moose Jaw Warrior fans and world travellers. And not to forget his dog Pepsi. He loved her dearly and did not go anywhere without her. The family would like to send out a special thanks to all of the friends and family who helped care for Harry when we were unable to be there. As well, thank you to all the staff at the Dr. FH Wigmore Regional Hospital, Chateau St. Michael, Providence Place and Extendicare for their wonderful care for Harry during these last few years. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Father John Bingham will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.
