MacDonald, Berthena Elizabeth, 100 – New Annan/Truro, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 12, 2016 in Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born in French River she was the last surviving member of her family and daughter of the late Lemuel and Frances Tattrie. She was a life member of the United Church of Canada and UCW. She is survived by her grandchildren, Marilyn (Stewart) Terry, North River, Karen MacDonald, Truro, Kevin (Cindy) MacDonald, Old Barns, Jim MacDonald, Truro; great grandchildren, Jennifer, April, Kevin, Tommy, Tara, Travis; eight great, great, grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Frank; son Earl; daughter-in-law, Joan (McNutt); sisters, Winnie Colpitts, Rosie Millard, Stella Mingo, Beulah Tattrie and brother, Croft Tattrie. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 18th at 2 p.m. in the Bell Gift Cemetery, New Annan with Rev. Morley Bentley officiating.
