Damgaard, Randi Kraby, 78, of East Village, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro, with her family by her side. Born in Copenhagen Denmark, she was a daughter of the late Poul and Ranghild (Kraby) Sorenson. Randi moved to Canada in 1955 and led a full and vibrant life. She was a caregiver to all around her and will be loved and missed by many. She is survived by son, Paul Damgaard; daughter, Helen “nee Damgaard” (Tim) Hudson; step-son, Jonathan (Sabrina) McGee; step-daughter, Dianna (Victor) McKenzie; grandchildren, Alexander, Christina, Elizabeth, Andrew, Kathleen, Brayden, Danica, Spencer, Anabelle. She was predeceased by her first husband, Svend Damgaard, and her second husband, Kenneth McGee. A celebration of Randi’s life will be held 2 pm Wednesday, September 21, in the Faith Baptist Church, Great Village. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS.
