Weston, Sharon – 59, of North River passed away September 15, 2016 in the Colchester East Hants Health Center. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of Malcolm and the late Ethel (McLeod) MacDonald. Sharon was an avid camper and loved to spend time at Hidden Hilltop Campground. She is survived by her husband, Glen Weston; son, Matthew (Jennifer) Little; daughter, Lacey (Adam) Elliott; brothers, Malcolm (Raye) MacDonald; Brian (Bonnie) MacDonald; David (Angie) Dimmer; sister, Denece Dimmer; grandchildren, Robbie, Jayden, Emma; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Palliative Care Team as well as the VON Nursing Staff for all the care and compassion shown to Sharon. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Sharon’s family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., followed by funeral service 2 pm Tuesday, September 20, 2016. If so desired, donations in Sharon’s memory to the Palliative Care Unit are welcomed.
