Formerly of Seal Cove, White Bay, resided in Kilbride, passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre. Nellie Matchett aged 75 years. Predeceased by her husband: Kenneth Ervin Matchett (2003); parents: Aaron and Dorcas Osbourne and brother: Scott Osbourne. Leaving to mourn her daughters: Lorriane Park (Alvin) and Paula Payne (Wallace); son: Terry (Christine); siblings: Ada Park, Lorriane Burton and Joe Osbourne (Nellie); sister-in-law: Carol Greene (Vern); grandchildren: Grant, Vanessa, Melissa, Raeona, Terri-Lynn, Kenny, Terrance and Amanda and twelve great-grandchildren, as well as a wide circle of other family and friends. Special thank you to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, 4 South A and the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre for all their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 pm. - 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. - 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held in Barrett's Chapel on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at a later date.
