At his late residence, surrounded by his beloved wife and family on Thursday September 15th, 2016 of Lyman Smith of Charlottetown and formerly of Freetown aged 87 years. Born in Freetown on July 30, 1929, son of the late Clayton and Orrie (Day) Smith. Husband of Pauline (Jacklin) Smith. Father of Diane (Gordon) Misener, Dartmouth, NS; Nancy (Kordey) Donovan, Cherry Valley, PEI and Wendy, Charlottetown, PEI. Brother of Erma Hogg and Gordon Smith. Half-Brother of Brian Smith and Kenneth (Robyn) Smith. Brother-in-law of Laura Smith and Jim Inglis. Predeceased by brothers Elmer and Morris (Gladys) Smith; sister Marjorie Inglis; sister-in-law Jewel Smith and brothers-in-law Denton Hogg, Art Jacklin and Kenneth Jacklin. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington, no visitation by personal request. A public celebration of life service will be held in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. A private interment will take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
