Winston Coates of Upper Gullies passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on September 18th, 2016, in his 98th year. Left with many warm memories, sons Glen (Janice), Gary (Karen), and daughter Goldie (Kent), also his grandchildren Thomas, Leah, Zachary, Taylor, Cameron and Jackson. Winston will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Special appreciation to sister-in-law, Alma, for her caring compassion and to nephew, Don, for his many thoughtful gestures. Winston was predeceased by his devoted wife Emma (Jacobs), daughter Holly, son-in-law Rick Wilson, parents Nathaniel and Selina (Ledrew) and siblings Will, Arthur, Reg, Madge and Muriel. A special thank you to the staff of Glenbrook Lodge for their kindness and care. Resting at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews, CBS on Tuesday, September 20th, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Upper Gullies on Wednesday, September 21st at 10:30 am.
