Matthew “Jason” Paul Ernest – 34, Truro, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2016 in the comfort of his home. Jason was loved by all whom he met and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was always willing to talk with others and was a guy who always put a smile on everyone’s face. He was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hiking, fishing, four wheeling and just being in Nature. Jason was a “wanderer” and lived and travelled all across Canada including Edmonton, Alberta and Jasper. Jason is survived by his mother, Cindy Hersey (Tim White), Bible Hill; father, Lorne Ernest, Bible Hill; sister, Sarah Ernest (Nick Luscombe), San Jose, California; maternal grandmother, Betty Hersey; paternal grandmother, Fay Ernest; aunts, Brenda, Patricia, Heather, Virginia, Tracy, Helen and Darlene; uncles, Roland and Bruce. He was loved by many cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Harry Ernest and maternal grandfather, Gene Hersey. All are invited to come and share memories of Jay at a Celebration of Life Visitation on Friday, September 23 from 6-8pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
