Walker (Henry), Ellen Frances, age 87 of Aylesford, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in North Queens Nursing Home in Caledonia, NS. Born December 10, 1928 in Astoria, Long Island, New York, she was the daughter of the late, Bertram and Violet (Blackie) Henry. Ellen was an accomplished crafter and artist. She had a love for music both playing the piano and singing in the church choir. Both she and her husband spent many winters at their home at Town and Country in Dade City, Florida, where playing golf and bridge were a passion. Ellen is survived by her son; Ron(Nanette) Walker-Aylesford, daughters; Marsha (Kevin) Freeman- Greenfield, Noreen(Eric) Clem – Viewmount, Kings Co. Grandchildren; Allyson Walker, Kelly ( Jim) Walker, Mark (Lisa ), Jessica Walker, Matthew (Alexandra) Freeman, Jamie (Jennifer) Freeman, Daniel (Kerry) Freeman, Luke (Jenna) Freeman, Heather (Ryan) Rafuse, Caitlin (Colin) Clem, Austin Clem, and nephew Dale Corbett. She was predeceased by her husband Ron; nephew David Corbett. By request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 6pm – 8pm Saturday September 24th at the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448. Funeral Service was held Sunday, September 25th at 3pm in the Aylesford United Church with the Rev. John Moses officiating, with a reception following.
