Lloyd Archibald Fraser
The peaceful passing of Lloyd Archibald Fraser age 86, of Montague, devoted husband of 65 years to Irene (Bruce) Fraser, occurred at the Riverview Manor on Sunday October 2, 2016. Born December 6, 1929 in North Sydney, NS, he was the son of the late Rev. A. C. Fraser and Jessie (Urquhart) Fraser. Lloyd is survived by his loving children, Faye Fraser (Doug Zinck), Halifax, NS, Dawn McCormick, Halifax, NS, Marlene (Mike) Lawrence, Summerside, PE; cherished grandchildren Axel, and Jesse Lawrence, Wolfville, NS; brother Rev. James A. Fraser (Shirley), Dartmouth, NS. He was predeceased by a sister at infancy and son-in-law Danny McCormick. Lloyd was a bus driver in Hamilton, ON for 6 years. The 3 daughters were born in Hamilton. Lloyd and Irene returned with family to live on PEI. Lloyd was well known in Kings County for his repair abilities-mechanical, auto, furnace and small engines. Lloyd enjoyed talking with many persons especially when it included a good story shared. His sense of humour and gentle manner were well noted by all. Lloyd was respectful of all persons. Lloyd operated MacPhee & Fraser Service Station, Irving Fuel Delivery and small engine repair. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Tuesday October 4, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service to take place in the Ferguson Logan Chapel on Wednesday October 5 at 1 p.m. Interment to take place in the Valleyfield Cemetery.
