It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nellie Gill announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the age of 82 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Ursula (Steve), Kim (George), Melvin (Debbie), Noel, Otto (Susan), Edmund (Chrissy), Eric, Raymond (Shauna), and Elizabeth (Cillian); grandchildren: Desiree (Shawn), Jillian (Tyson), Nichole (Justin), Tracy (Mark), Trevor (Kiah), Tiffany (Nick), Evan, Kayla (Corey), John (Chelsea), Ashley, Victoria (Sean), Melodie (Doug), Justin, Ryan, Kristen, Erika, Jared, Paxton, Kelly (Boomer), and Shawn; great-grandchildren: Jacob, Jonah, Nicholas, Thalia, Angelina, Ryder, Braxton, Zoey, Oliver, Vincent, and Kendra-lynn; siblings: Elizabeth, Pauline (Ron) Rowsell, Magdeline (Gerald) Crewe, Edmund (Ann) Earle, Stella (Ellis) Gale, Donnie (Shayane) Earle, Andrew (Shirley) Earle, and Monica Benson; brother-in-law Mike Gale; special friends: Shirley Hatcher, Audrey Power, Harold Sheppard, Linda, Joe and Jenna Neville, and long-time friend Brenda Wilkins; as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Melvin (January 22, 2008), parents Bertha and Jack Earle; siblings: Walter, Kathleen, Theresa, Kenneth, and Elvis; and brother-in-law John Gill. A special thank-you to the staff at ICU, 4AB Surgery, Palliative Care and Dr. Hudson. In keeping with Nellie's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 10 a.m. from the Country Haven Funeral Chapel, with Major Frank Johnson officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA or WMR Hospital Foundation.
