STEVENS, Mary Rita – age 89 of Kingston, NS formerly of Meadowvale, NS passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in Bridgetown, NS. Born in Chatham, New Brunswick she was the daughter of the late George and Annie (Boyle) Beek. Mary was a member of St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, Middleton. She loved writing in her diary, enjoyed knitting wash cloths and playing bingo. Mary’s greatest accomplishment and joy in life was her family. Surviving are her two children daughter, Patricia “Pat” (Keith) Harder, Saskatoon, Sask.; her son, Paul Stevens, Darling Lake, Yarmouth Co.; her grandchildren, Tracy (Leon) Cottreau, Upper Wedgeport; Todd (Sybil) Stevens, Melbourne; Timothy Stevens (Renée MacDonald), Plymouth; Eddie (Trish) Berry, Meadow Lake, Sask; Steven Berry (Aimee Cooper), Edmonton, Alb; great grandchildren, Tristan, Lucas, Addison, Kinley, Robbie, Brayden, Britteny, Donavin and Alyssa. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Clarence. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2016, in St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, 41 Connaught Ave., Middleton, with Father John MacPherson officiating assisted by Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau. Interment will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston. Family flowers only please.
