Daniel (Bud) Evans, born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, in his ninety-fifth year passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1st, 2016. Predeceased by his loving wife, Louise. Dear and loving father to, Richard (Lynda), Sharon, Deborah, Barry (Tracey), Dale (William) and Mary (Steve). Adoring grandfather to, Mary Daly, James and Jessica Evans, William and Brandon Hulcup, David and Rachel Evans, Eric and Katelynn Evans. Much loved great grandfather to, William and Stephanie Daly. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and many friends. A proud veteran, Daniel served his country during World War II. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, attached to the Royal Air Force in England, flying B25 Mitchell Bombers. A celebration of life will be held in Daniel's memory at Highland Funeral Home ~ Markham Chapel, 10 Cachet Woods Court, Markham, 905-887-8600 (16th Ave., and Hwy 404) on Thursday, October 6th, 2016 at 12 p.m., with one hour of visitation prior. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Epilepsy Ontario, The Salvation Army or a charity of choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Country Home Care for their kindness and loving care, with particular thanks to Patty, Kanga, Brenda and Maria. Also, thanks to Veterans Affairs for their support over the years.
