Edith Marie Slon, aged 99 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Sunday, October 2nd, 2016. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 6th, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel at Providence Place, 100 -2nd Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK. Pastor Walter Engel will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. She was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Rosa Allan; husband, Michael; son, Larry; 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Edith is survived by her daughter-in-law, Clementine Slon; grandsons, Trent Slon and Jason (Laura) Slon; great-grandchildren: Makayla, Jacob and Emma Slon; all of Moose Jaw, SK; and sisters, Alice Parson of Surrey, BC and Joyce Bruce of Nepean, ON. Edith was committed and very passionate about volunteering at Providence Place. She was very active in the Victory Church and was heavily invested in Operation Christmas Child for many years.
