ELLNORA EVELYN BRANDON (JOHNSON) passed away peacefully at Regina Lutheran Home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Ellnora was born February 26, 1922 to Eddie and Jane Johnson in Richey, Montana. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Clare Brandon (2005) and an infant son, Kirk Wayne (1950). Ellnora is lovingly missed by her family: son, Brian (Becky) and their children Brianna and Jenna; daughter, Pam (Phil) Barg and their children: Jason, Stephan and Kristin (Wytze) van Tricht-Barg; son, Greg (Wendy) and their children: Tana (Bryan) Keller and their children Joshua, Amber and Ella, Teri (Jason) Peters and their children, Ethan and Sophia, Derek (Daphne) and their son, Samuel, Jared (Jamie) and their daughter, Clementine; daughter, Bonnie Jans and her children Sara and Aubrey; daughter Lana (Rob) Caufield and their children, Jonathan and Ryan. Ellnora trained as a nurse at the Moose Jaw General hospital and worked there until she married Clare in 1948. They farmed for many years northwest of Mortlach. Ellnora’s nursing background was put to good use in caring for her family as well as helping members of the community. She was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church and volunteered with the Evangelical Lutheran Women (ELW). In 1984, Ellnora and Clare moved to Moose Jaw where Ellnora served on the church council at Central Lutheran. She participated in the Moose Jaw chapter of the Canadian Ostomy Association and volunteered many hours visiting patients in the hospital. Ellnora enjoyed bowling, gardening, sewing and knitting. She made many items to sell in the hospital gift shop. Ellnora was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother. She took great interest in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will all miss her strong, faithful and positive approach to life as well as her wonderful sense of humour. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm. on Saturday October 8, 2016 at W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 106 Athabasca St E, Moose Jaw, SK. Service will be conducted by Pastor Marvin Seaborg. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation: 55 Diefenbaker Drive, Moose Jaw SK S6J 0C2 or through their website www.mjhf.org.
