Passed peacefully away at the Lions Manor, Placentia surrounded by her loving family on October 5, 2016, Eileen Murray of Harbour Main in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Walter, parents: Joseph and Agatha Hicks, brother Hubert Hicks, sister Helena Sullivan, infant babies: Joan, Gerald Patrick and John Francis, sons: Phonse and Michael, daughters: Patricia Gough and Peggy Walsh and son-in-law Jerome Kieley. Left with wonderful loving memories are her sons and daughters: Walter (Mabel), Lena (Jim Wall), Joe (Bernadette), Joan (Bill Farrell), Rose, Agatha, Gerard (Kim), Pat (Ange), Eddie (Nancy), Clarence (Carolyn), son-in-laws: Ralph Gough and Bill Walsh, daughter-in-laws: Brigitte Murray and Cecilia Murray, her treasured 23 grandchildren, 27 precious great-grandchildren, brother Joe Hicks (Joan), sisters: Mary Costigan, Joanne Kennedy (Paddy), Margaret Dalton and Theresa Doyle, her special feline friend Sonny, numerous nieces, nephews, and a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Thursday from 5-9 pm and Friday from 2-9 pm. Funeral will take place on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at 11 am with Mass of Christian Burial from SS. Peter & Paul Church, Harbour Main. Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Harbour Main.
