It is with heavy hearts that the family of the Late Alexander Edward Skinner announce his passing at his family home in Lourdes, NL on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the age of 74 years. He will be forever missed and loved by his wife Mercedes; children: Ray (Audrey), Sean (Mary), MaDonna (Godfrey); grandchildren: Jeremy and Cameron Moraze, Seekay, Amy and Alexis Skinner; great-grandchildren: Thomas, Alycia; brothers: Leo, George; sisters: Marguerite Tourout, Anita Hynes, Bride Kropewnicki as well as nieces, nephews other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander & Marguerite Skinner; sister Mary Alexander and brother Henry Skinner. To honor and respect Alex's wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena, NL. Family and friends will be gathering at the family home, 55 Main Road, Lourdes, NL to celebrate his life on Wednesday, October 12th and Thursday, October 13th beginning at 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 14th at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Lourdes, NL with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Inurnment will take place following the service in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Tea Cove Road, West Bay. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of ones' choice.
