With heavy hearts and with his family by his side, we announce the passing of J. Nazaire Gallant (Joe) age 66 years, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday October 10th, 2016. Born in St. Chrysostome on March 3, 1950, son of the late Alphonse and Marie Anne (nee Arsenault) Gallant. He was the beloved husband of Cécile (nee Arsenault) Gallant and loving father to Norma (Kent) Richmond, Judy (Jason) Summerside, Sally (Jason) Milton Station and grandfather to Alex, Samantha, Brandon, Zach, Austin and Marcus. He will be forever remember by his brothers and sisters, Aubain (Lila) Summerside, Melvin (Jackie) St. Chrysostome, Urbain (Kaye) North Bedeque, Yvette (Chris) BC, Cyrus (Donna) Freetown, Chris (Eric) Summerside, Charlie (Judy) Miscouche, Abbey (Barry) Bayside and Evangeline Ontario. Also survived by brother in-laws and sister-in-laws: Aline, Corinne, Arthur (Nora), Roger (Rita), Yvon (Shirley), Della (Roger) and Roséva Rogerville. Joe was predeceased by his parents, brother Amand and sister Laura. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Thursday October 13th, 2016 then to the St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Fr. Eloi Arsenault. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Cancer Treatment Center or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday October 12th, from 6 to 9 p.m. only.
