RAY (BURTON), Hilda Leona- age 83 of Latties Brook passed away suddenly on October 8, 2016. Born in Latties Brook, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Clerissa (Lantz) Burton. She was a tireless worker in her community, dedicating countless hours in the service of others. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Norman who passed in 2009 and her loving son Michael, who recently passed in June. She will be sadly missed by her daughters; Elaine (Todd) Hudson, Valerie (Kim Gulliver), Alexandra (Rudy) Hamilton and Norma (Joel) Solomon; grandchildren, Stefan (Tanya) Hamilton, Joy (Tim) Wynn, Matthew Solomon, Jordan Solomon and Lucas Gulliver; great grandchildren, Nikolis Hamilton, Scotty Wynn, Victoria Wynn and Ivory Solomon; sisters, Lucy Houston, Elsie Neitz, Luella Hennigar and Marie Harmon; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and son, she was predeceased by siblings; Hope, Tommy and Oscar Burton and sister Lillas Harris. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. A graveside committal service will be held 2pm Sunday, October 16 in St. John the Baptist Anglican Cemetery, Latties Brook, Father Fred Rhymes officiating. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
