Chapman, Bessie M – 98, Truro, passed away October 7, 2016 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Bessie was a member of First United Church, Truro. She is survived by her daughter; Carol Smythe, Florida, son; Ronald Chapman (Sharon), Antigua; nephew Arnold Carter, Truro; brother George MacCallum (Rosemarie) of Massachusetts, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Lillian MacCallum of Hilden and was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, F. Bertram Chapman (2002) as well as sister, Hazel Starratt of Truro. She was well known in town for her years of service at Bentleys. A Private Interment of ashes will be held at a later date in Hilden Cemetery.
