We mourn the passing of our dear beloved mother, Kathleen Cole (Downey) who passed peacefully at The L.A. Miller Centre on Monday, October 17, 2016. We mourn that she is no longer with us but rejoice that the angels have taken her to heaven to dance with her husband, Francis, once again. They are now reunited and their love story continues. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Ann Marie (Hogan) Downey, her husband Francis, her sister Mary (Power) and her brother Daniel. Left to celebrate her life are her children: Greg, Anne Marie (Doiron), Deborah (Sabine), Janet and Paul. Also leaving to mourn are her twelve grand-children and nine great grandchildren. Special thanks to her friends Wayne, Vince, Debbie, staff at Cambridge Estates, Especially Vi Chippett who took extra special care of her. We would also like to say thank you to the wonderful staff at the Miller Center who showed great compassion to our Mother at the end. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist, Military Road. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, The Boulevard. A reception to follow at the Johnson Geo Centre, Signal Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the MS Society of Newfoundland and Labrador or any charity of your choice.
