Passed away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, Gordon Butler, age 64 years. Predeceased by his father Howard Butler, in 2004. Left with the warmest of memories and the funniest of stories are his wife Gail Kenny; sons, Stephen and Michael, and daughter, Julie; mother, Ethel Butler; sister Elizabeth Butt (Bill); brothers: Lloyd (Theresa) and Randy (Grace); as well as a large circle of extended family and many friends. Gord, Gail and family were very fortunate to be surrounded by a wonderful group of friends whose support sustained them through this tough time. Visitation will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Friday, October 21, from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. A memorial celebration of Gord's life will be held from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2 pm, with burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A reception to continue celebrating Gord's life and honour his memory will be held in Barrett's Reception Centre, immediately following the committal service. As expressions of sympathy donations in Gordon's memory may be made to The John Howard Society or The Gathering Place.
