The death occurred after a brave and courageous battle with cancer, at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Ontario on Thursday, October 27, 2016 of Leonard James McMurrer of Stratford, aged 75 years. Beloved husband of 43 years of Deb (Cheverie) McMurrer. Born on April 25, 1941 at Green Road, PEI. Adored father of Lana McMurrer (Steve LeCoure), Brodie McMurrer (Krista Connolly) and Danielle McMurrer (Tyler Honsberger). Beloved Poppy to Mason, Logan and Will McMurrer, Phoebe and Clive LeCoure and Nate (deceased), Max and Neve Honsberger. Brother of Eileen Trainor. Brother-in-law to Trisha Cheverie (Dale Sobey), Leah Cheverie (Art Zubrod), Susie Cheverie, Walter Cheverie (Lijean) and Lisa Cheverie (Jimmy McQuaid). Len is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his dear Sydney Breneol. Predeceased by his parents John and Catherine (Osborne) McMurrer and his brothers Eddy and Kenny and brother-in-law G.M. Trainor. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Wednesday at 10 a.m. then to Our Lady of The Assumption Church, Stratford for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Our Lady of The Assumption Parish Cemetery, Stratford.
