Colborne - Surrounded by his loving family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, October 31, 2016, of David Colborne, of Summerside, aged 78 years. David served with the Royal Canadian Air Force for 31 years. He was kind of heart and generous of Spirit, and an avid hunter and woodworker. Born in Pugwash, NS, he was the son of the late William “Bill” and Laura (Smith) Colborne. Survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Elizabeth “Betty” (Buckley) Colborne; cherished daughters Lori and her husband Frank Barry; Tracy and her husband Paul Jackman; adored grandchildren Alix and Rachel Barry; Cameron and Paige Jackman; chosen grandchildren Rachel, Caitlin and Nicole Gallant; goddaughter Robyn Campbell; by a sister Penny (Don) Crummey; cousins Terry Smith and Joan Forshner; sisters-in-law Joan Colborne Snell, Joan Colborne and Gloria Dickinson; numerous nieces and nephews; and by his feline friend Gena. Predeceased by his sister Isabel Sproule; and by brothers Glen and Rodger Colborne. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday, then to St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, St. Eleanors. Visiting hours Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations St. Mary’s Anglican Church or the PEI Humane Society would be appreciated. Members of the Miscouche Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, together with the RCAFA 200 Wing, will hold a Service of Remembrance, at the funeral home Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. www.moase.ca
