Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre after a lengthy illness on October 31, 2016. Captain Lorne Abbot of Catalina in his 83rd year. Predeceased by wife Jessie; parents Hugh and Susie Abbott; brothers Adoliphesus and William; sisters Elizabeth, Martha and Rita; son Darrell; daughter-in-law Anne. Leaving to mourn son Wayne; partner Erma Dalton; granddaughter Shannon (Jeffrey), granddaughter Jessica (her mom Karen); great-grandson Ethan; great-granddaughter Hailey; step-granddaughter Sitarah Hicks; brothers Winston (Glennis), Harvey (Sue), Glenys Anstey; sister-in-law Brenda Abbott; nieces and nephews. His extended family of three step-daughters and one step-son, step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. Funeral service will take place from Bethany United Church, Catalina on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 2 p.m.
