Joseph Clement Snow, age 75 of MacGillivray Guest Home, Sydney, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the residence.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late and Ted and Mary (MacDonald) Snow. He was a member of St. Theresa’s parish, Sydney. Joe was a quiet man who loved his work serving the public at Agnew Surpass; his days as a youth in Big Pond and his times on the Bras d’Or with his family. In winter time, Joe provided outdoor skating for the entire neighbourhood with his ice making skills. He is survived by his wife, the former Theresa ‘Tessie’ Wall; daughter, Trina; son, Joseph; sisters, Doreen (Lorway) MacDougall, Joan Butts, Carolyn (Dennis) Murphy, Theresa Gilliard; brothers, Teddy Snow, Brian (Cindy) Snow; aunt, Ruby Skinner; brother-in-law, Donald ‘Brother’ MacNeil and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Ann Marie MacNeil and Jean Snow; sister-in-law, Rhoda Snow and brother-in-law, Max Gilliard. There will be no visitation for the late Mr. Snow. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
