Born in St. John's, NL on February 25, 1955. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jimmy on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the age of 61 at the L.A. Miller Centre. Predeceased by his parents George and Mabel (Pearce); brothers Tom, Jack and Mark Hayes; sisters Pauline Hayes and Margaret (Burke) Hayes. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his best buddy and brother whom he lived with Brian (Susan), special nieces Katie, Melissa and Taylor; special nephews Mike and Jason as well as his great nephews Lincoln, Jacob, Michael and Mason; his four legged friends Jake, Koda and Riley; brothers George (Bride Janes) and family, St. John's and Paul (Jennifer) and family, St. John's and Mike (Cathy); sisters Madonna (Derrick Quirk) and family, St. John's, Andrea (John Brocklehurst) and family, B.C., Barbara (Gary Burnside) and family, ON and Mary (Glen Antle) and family, ON, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Jimmy loved life and enjoyed walks, road trips as well as spending time at the cabin having a game of darts with his cabin buddies and having a fire and a beer or two. A thank you to the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, Doctors, Nursing Staff for your compassion and taking wonderful care of Jimmy. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa's Church. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
