Surrounded by family and friends, Chris passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2016 age 52 years. He will be greatly missed by the love of his life Judy (Furlong); sons Christopher, Stephen and David; parents Cyril and Alice Mallard; sister Anne Marie (Bob Conway), nieces Allison and Heather and nephew Mark Conway; mother-in-law Eleanor Furlong; sister-in-law and cherished friend Kim Furlong (Randy Wellon), nephew Jonathan Collett, nieces Katie and Sophie Furlong; members of the Mallard, Power, Furlong and Carew families and Ron and Marina Whiteway. Left to mourn, lifelong friends Tom Mahoney and Bernie McDonald; Chris's dedicated employees of Modern Business Equipment and the many friends who shared in Chris's passion for rugby, hockey, snowmobiling and motorcycling. Of note his Friday night friends will miss their special gatherings. A heart felt thank you is extended to the staff of the Health Sciences 4SB and the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Centre; Dr. Mathieson, Dr. Rourke, Dr. Alison Furey and nurse Kimberly Whiteway for their exceptional care. Remembered for his honesty, work ethic, strength, humility and above all his unparalleled love for his family. Our grief is great because of the great love Chris gave to us all. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 at 10 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Inurnment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chris's memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
