It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Emma MacKenzie age 91 of Amherst on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan.
Born in Cape Breton, NS, Mary was a daughter of the late Stephen and Charlotte (Landry) Campbell.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Valerie MacKenzie, Ajax, ON; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Elizabeth Bates, Sydney, NS; several nieces; nephews; special friends, Debbie Noiles and Kay Kitson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carl in 2005; son, Francis (Archie); daughter, Eleanor MacKenzie; infant twin daughter in infancy, Elaine; sisters, Margaret Newton, Theresa Zigssworth, and Kay Dobson; brothers, Jim and Joe.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst.
A public graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Charles- Nativity Cemetery with Deacon Howard Gotell presiding.
