We, the family of Gerald Lawrence Dubinsky, regret to announce his passing on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born May 9, 1942, in Sydney, he was the son of the late Sam and Fanny (Marshall) Dubinsky. In his younger years, Gerald was very involved in sports and was known to be a great musician. He is survived by his sisters, Enid (Morris) Lieff, Englishtown and Arlene Dubinsky, Victoria, B. C.; daughter, Rachael (Mark) Walsh, their three children and her mother, Bev MacDonald; best friend, Anita Sadofsky, Sydney. A funeral service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 11 at 2 p.m., with Rabbi David Ellis officiating. Interment in the Hebrew Cemetery.
