She is predeceased by her father Henry Perron; parents-in-law Ben and Billie Penner; brothers-in law Neale Galloway and Emil Redmann; sisters-in law Joyce Harper, Roberta Carlton, and Judy Whitley. Mary Jeanne was born on July 1, 1951 in Ponteix, SK to Henry and Therese Perron. She attended school in Admiral, SK and graduated in 1969. Mary Jeanne married Arnold Penner on April 15, 1972 in Morse, SK. She worked at the Herbert/Morse Union Hospital which later became the Herbert Integrated Health Facility. Mary Jeanne began her career there in 1970, working as a Combined Lab and X-Ray Technician. After 45 dedicated years, she retired in September, 2015. Mary Jeanne taught Sunday School at the Morse United Church for several years. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was with the Museum in Morse or baking yummy muffins for the Herbert School Breakfast Club. Mary Jeanne grew up on the family farm near Lac Pelletier, SK. From an early age, you could always find her following her Dad, ready and willing to get her hands dirty. She never backed down from any challenge that was put in front of her. With her stubborn nature, she always conquered whatever she put her mind to. Mary Jeanne received her post-secondary education from SIAST Kelsey Campus in Saskatoon where she received her diploma as a CLXT (Combined Lab and X-Ray Technician). She began working as a CLXT in Herbert in 1970 and devoted her working career to this town and community until her retirement in 2015. Helping people was Mary Jeanne's passion. It showed through in her 45 years of service. She went above and beyond in her work. Mary Jeanne was a mentor to other staff. Her calm nature was always appreciated in different situations. Her co-workers became some of her best friends, and were there to support and love her until the end. In the early nineties, she decided to add Coroner, Marriage Commissioner, and Justice of the Peace to her work titles. She had a way of comforting families dealing with loss, as well as sharing in the joy of marriages. Notably, Mary Jeanne was honoured to perform the marriage ceremony of Rocky and Lori. On April 15, 1972, she married Arnold and soon welcomed three children: Rocky (1973), Rodney (1976), and Keri (1979). She was an active participant in their lives until the end. Whether it was coaching, cheering in the stands, or teaching Sunday School, she was there. Her heart grew bigger and prouder as she became a Grandmother to Megan Penner (2001), Seth Penner (2005), Alexis Firman (2007), MacKenna Firman (2010), and Blakley Firman (2013). She was their biggest cheerleader and attended as many of their events as possible. It was Mary Jeanne's wish for those wanting to donate, to do so in the form of a donation to her beloved grandchildren's education savings fund. All money will be divided evenly among the five grandchildren. Cheques may be made payable to Alice Byklum or to Rocky Penner. They may be sent to Alice Byklum Attn. Education Fund, P.O.
