Ursula Vivian Fryklund
1920-2016
Ursula Fryklund passed away on November 12, 2016 at the age of 96; with her devoted son Grant by her side. She was born on July 6, 1920 to William and Elizabeth Urquhart of Moose Jaw. Ursula was raised and educated in Moose Jaw. As a young woman, she first worked at Joyners. She married Frederick K Fryklund of Archive, Saskatchewan on October 4, 1944. They made their home in Moose Jaw. Ursula was a devoted mother and homemaker to their three children. She later worked as a salesclerk/ manageress at Ricki’s Ladies Wear. She was also a life member and enjoyed her involvement with the Rebekah Lodge. Ursula was predeceased by her father in 1952, mother in 1964, sisters Margaret and Mary, brothers Alex, Gavin, and John. She lost her beloved husband “Freddy” in 1977. She will be sadly missed by daughter Sheila Mourstad; grandchildren Pamela, David, and Kent; great-grandchildren Rowan, Ethan, Amy, Jack and Ryann. Daughter Lois and son-in-law Denis Rivard; grandchildren Justin, and Jason; great-grandchildren Declan, and Kyler. Son Grant Fryklund and his partner Brenda Irwin; grandchildren Kasia, Tessa, Zoe, and Leif. A Funeral Service will take place Saturday, November 19 at 1:00PM in W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel (106 Athabasca St. E. Moose Jaw). Pastor Barry Holtslander will Officiate. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church (80 High St. E. Moose Jaw, SK. S6H1S3). In living memory of Ursula, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
