It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ella Dorothy Noel, former Mayor of Port au Choix, announces her peaceful passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016 at the age of 91 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters: Patricia (Gregory) O'Keefe, Helena (Iram) Moores, and Reba (David) Garner; sons: Brian (Charlie) Noel and Roderick Noel; sister Clarice Barrett; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as a community of loving family and friends. She was predeceased by husband Roderick Noel, sons Lomond, William and Maurice, grandson Lomond Jr., parents Robert and Helena Greening, sisters May Sweet, Linda Pretty and Ivy Mudge, brothers Aubrey, Cecil, Max and Frank Greening. The family accepted visitors at Fillatre's Funeral Home in Port au Choix on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday at St. Thomas Beckett Anglican Church in Port au Choix with a hymn sing at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service was held on Monday, November 14 at St. Thomas Beckett Church with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Interment will take place at a date to be determined. Family and friends may leave messages of condolence or sign the guestbook by visiting the website at www.fillatre.ca. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
