The death occurred peacefully at the University Hospital of Alberta, Edmonton, on Sunday, November 6, 2016, of John Joseph "Joey" McInnis of Edmonton, Alberta and Little Harbour, PEI, age 71 years. Son of the late John and Josephine (nee Power) McInnis and foster-son of the late Dolphie and Susie Foley. Predeceased by his parents, brother Jim McInnis, sister Shirley MacInnis-Day, special sisters Mary (Joe) MacPhee, Noreen (Art) Walsh and Nellie (Danny) Rose. Survived by: sisters Anne McInnis, Souris, PEI; Mary (Bruce) Duncan, Windsor, NS; Margie (Charles) Stewart, South Lake, PEI; Helen Brown, Summerside, PEI; Florence White, St. John's, NL; brothers Leo (Bernadette) McInnis, Red Point, PEI; Kenny (Karen) McInnis, St. John, NB; John (Sara) McInnis-Day, Springfield, MA, USA; sister-in-law Shirley McInnis, Halifax, NS and aunt Louise (Power) Cook. No visitation by request. Funeral to be held on Monday morning, November 21, 2016 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Souris, for funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
