NEW GLASGOW – Mary Cecilia Murdock, 92, of Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 in the Manor.
          Born in Thorburn, she was a daughter of the late Pius and Rose (Smith) Murphy.
          Mary trained as an LPN in Ontario, before moving to Lower Barneys River where she worked as a Recreation Coordinator at the Riverview Home, Riverton. She belonged to a bowling club and enjoyed knitting.
         Surviving are sons, Jay (Ellen) Noade, Fraser’s Mountain; Steve (Sharon) Murdock, Calgary; daughter Rose Campbell, Toronto; brother, Brian Murphy, Ont.;six grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
          Besides her parents, she was predeceased by first husband, James Noade; second husband, Calvin Murdock; a son in infancy, brothers, Alec, Tom, and James.
         A graveside service will be held at a later date.  
         Donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or charity of choice.
