It is with broken hearts that we the family of Richard (Dick) Wade announce his passing at the HSC on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, in his 76th year of Kelligrews, formerly of Harricott, St. Mary's Bay. Predeceased by his parents: John & Catherine Wade; brothers: Walter & William; parents-in-law: Tom & Rita Bennett; sisters-in-law: Mary Wade, Joan Marrie & Eileen Bennett; brothers-in-law: Basil Merner, Michael Davis, Robert Downey & Brendan Bennett. Left to celebrate his life are his devoted wife, Dorothy (nee Bennett) of 48 years; his children: Keith (Roxanne), Rick (Trudy), Patti-Lynn (Dave), Melissa (Chris); grandchildren: Bradley, Laura, Rikki-Ann, Allison, Andrew, Emily, Stephen & Katherine; sisters: Theresa Merner, Margaret Wade, Anna-Marie Davis, Mary (Tom) Hearn & Marion (Allan) Bonia; brothers: John (Gloria) & Raymond (Betty), sister-in-law: Helen Wade, brother-in-law Ray Bennett & a large circle of extended family and friends. At his request cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 4 pm - 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 2:30 pm from St. Edward's Church, Kelligrews. Inurnment will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mount Carmel at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Arthritis Society.
