Passed away in the presence of his daughters, on Friday, November 25, 2016, Edward "Ed" Lupien at the age of 74 years. He was preceded by his wife Betty (August 2016), brother Everett and sister Barbara, as well as sister-in-law Carol Dean, brother-in-law Frank Hann and sister-in-law Madonna Hann. Left with loving memories are his son Dean (Nan) and daughters JoAnn Nippard (Howard) and Jill Druken (Leo), grandchildren Joram, Amanda, Nicholas, Ayla, Rebecca, Julia and Ronin, special friends David and Violet Best and Tom and Marilyn Lawlor, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Born in Paxton Massachusetts, Ed moved to Newfoundland in the early 60's as a serviceman in Argentia and later made his career with the St. John's Regional Fire Department, retiring at the rank of Captain. He was also a long standing member of the American Legion (Post CN09-St.John's). Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Monday, November 28 and Tuesday, November 29 from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
