Trenton - Edna Charlotte Martin.
It is with great sadness in our hearts to announce the passing of Edna (Smith) Martin.
She passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the age of 80, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
She was a daughter of the late Lewis Smith and Love (Malloy, Smith) MacEwan. She was also predeceased by sons: George and Robert Martin; sisters: Teana Mercanti, Marilyn MacCuish and Elizabeth MacEwan; brothers: Lewis Smith and Sheldon Smith; son-in-law: John Martell; sisters-in-law: Linda Smith and Gretta Smith; brothers-in-law: Jimmy MacCuish and James MacKinnon; daughter-in-law: Tana Martin; niece: Debbie Chiasson; step-father: Murdock MacEwan.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ross Martin; daughter: Patsy Martell, at home; sons: Ross (Susan) Martin, Trenton; Jimmy (Terry) Martin, Trenton; Jackie (Brenda) Martin, Truro; David (Duc) Martin, BC; chosen son: Donnie (Helen) Murray, Trenton; sisters: Patricia MacKinnon, Stellarton; Marjorie (Philip) Stewart, Thorburn; and many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She loved life and was known to all as the Avon Lady. She loved to stop and have a tea with her customers and having her Avon open houses. She met some wonderful people on her Avon trips.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation from 1 pm until the time of the service at 2 pm, Thursday, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, High St., Trenton, Rev. Wade Reppert officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
