Hanham, Ruth Lillian (née Cameron); It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother Ruth Lillian Hanham, Truro, on November 28th, 2016 at Vimy Court Nursing Home with her children at her side. Born in Stellarton, Nova Scotia on February 5th, 1924, she lived for many years in the pink house on Robie St. in Truro, where she was well known in her community. An avid and valued volunteer with the Girl Guides and the N.S. Alzheimer’s Association, Ruth gave generously of her time and support to all.
Predeceased by her husband Frank and brothers, Roland, Clifford, Robert, and Ralph, Ruth is survived by her children Frank (Kathie), Karen (Jack) Paul (Pat), Susan (Ken), Pat (Jamie), Tammy (Andy), Kathy (Tom), Jamie, Scott and Sally, 18 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Ruth will be held on Thursday, December 1 from 6-8pm with Funeral Service on Friday, December 2, at 2pm both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. The Rev. Lori Ramsey will officiate with a Reception to follow in the funeral home. Spring Interment will take place in Terrace Hill Cemetery, Kaulback St., Truro.
