We said farewell to our loving mother Leona Doiron, on Monday, November 28, 2016, at Perrin’s Clinton View Lodge, Clinton aged 90 years. Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Pineau) Gallant. Survived by her children Elaine Lyon, Frank (Linda) Doiron, Judy Joly, Kathy Driscoll (Allan) and Ron (Marie) Doiron; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and by brothers and sisters Betty Majors, Frank Gallant, Herb (Helen) Gallant, Marjorie (Harold) Gallant; son-in-law Carl Brennan and a sisters-in-law Eleanor Gallant and Annette Pettit. Predeceased by her husband Peter Doiron; a daughter Diane Brennan; brothers Elbert and Joe Gallant; and by a sister Mary (Brian) Fox. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Thursday at 1 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care Unit or the I.W.K.
