It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jean Buckle announce her passing on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 88 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Brian (Glenda), Corner Brook, David (Mary) Stellarton, NS, Joanne Vater, Frenchman's Cove, Rod (Debbie), Corner Brook, Donnie (Gerald) Brinston, Cambridge, ON, Sadie (Vic) Park, Corner Brook and Frank, Corner Brook; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters Elizabeth Raymond and Sheila Hennessey: brother Eddie Jackman; two sisters-in-law Lorraine and Marie Jackman; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley (1984), daughter Linda, brothers David and Don, sisters Joan, Kay and Doreen and son-in-law Pat Vater. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 2 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Chapel, St. Marks Avenue with Father Don Leonard officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NL.
