In June 2011, Jack moved to Portland Hills, Dartmouth to live with his son Ken, daughter-in-law, Barbara and grandson Cameron. He enjoyed sitting on the front step with his newspaper becoming well known in the neighbourhood for his friendly wave and hello to those driving or walking by. He loved watching the deer roam through the neighbourhood. Jack enjoyed calls from family and friends particularly his sons and sisters Marjorie and Marilyn. Special thanks to Paula Flynn who provided Jack with kindness, support and laughter particularly over the last year when Ken and Barbara were away from home.
