It is with great sadness that the family of the late Augustus (Gus) Joseph Fitzpatrick announces his passing after having valiantly struggled with heart disease at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his loving children: Darrin and Sherry, DeeAnn (Bunny), Darryl and Jackie. He will be greatly missed by his two grandchildren Liam and Riley. Gus was predeceased by his former wife Noreen and their daughter Siobhan, father and mother Peter and Anne Fitzpatrick. We would like to recognize his close friend and pool buddy Pat, Donna and the staff at the West Side Charlies Paradise who was like his second family. Dad will be greatly missed for his playful witticism and his eager willingness to lend a helping hand when called upon. The Fitzpatrick family would also like to express a special thank you to the dedicated medical staff in the CCU of the Health Sciences Centre. Their exceptional care of our father during this difficult time will always be remembered. Cremation has taken place as per his wishes. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
