The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, December 4, 2016, of Joseph Richards, of Summerside. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late Archibald and Mae (Arsenault) Richards. Survived by his wife Doreen (Ellis) Richards; children Catherine Cormier (Dennis McFadden), Timmy (Linda) Richards, Julie (John) Englehart, Marie Thibodeau and Peter (Carolyn) Richards; step-daughters Ann Ellis and Kelly (Shawn) McMahon; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Benita (Bernard) Richards; a son David James and special grandparents Dolphy and Theresa Arsenault. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Paul’s Cemetery Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. www.moase.ca
