Passed peacefully away on Monday, December 5, 2016, Lorraine (Woodfine) Hudson. Predeceased by her husband George Hudson and mother-in-law Rita Hudson; mother Margaret (Woodfine) Peddle; father Thomas Woodfine; step-father Michael Peddle; brother Edward Woodfine. Leaving to mourn her three loving children, sons: Jason and Jonathan and daughter Christina (Todd) Brace; much loved and cherished grandchildren: Caroline and Julianna Brace, Bishops Falls; two very special friends she considered family Donna Sitman and Maurice Winsor, whose kindness and generosity of spirit will never be forgotten; two sisters: Helen Peddle (Gerald deceased), and Carol Etheridge (Garry); sister-in-law Ann Woodfine (Edward deceased); brothers Thomas (Geri), David (Rose), Robert (Phyllis), and Frank (Shirley); The Hudson family: Jeanette (Ian) McAllister, Diane Reynolds, Doug (Lillian), John (Judy), Bill (Janet) and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to Drs. Joanne Lane, Iqbal, Haley, Joy McCarthy, Thoms, Ogunyemi and staff of 4SB (HSC) and Drs. Bill Eaton and Cheryl Hurley and the dedicated staff and volunteers of the Palliative Care Unit, Miller Centre, Rhonda Brophy (Social Worker), Father Joseph Barton, the Corpus Christi Bereavement Team and the kind and professional staff of Barrett's Funeral Home, Hamilton Avenue. Cremation has taken place as per Lorraine's request. Visitation is at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Friday, December 9, 2016. A Funeral Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Rd., on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre, Topsail Road. A memorial reception will follow the cemetery service at Barrett's Reception Centre. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Lorraine's memory to the Autism Society of NL or the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
